Ivelisse Velez, known to the Wrestling World as “La Sicaria” is a world traveled veteran for the last 18 years, with her work spanning all throughout the US, Mexico, Europe, China, Australia, Ecuador, Chile, and Puerto Rico.
She began her Professional Wrestling career in Puerto Rico, eventually crossing over to the US, and quickly made her way through the independent scene, onto WWE. After her time in WWE NXT, as Sofia Cortez, she began her trajectory within SHINE Wrestling, Dragon Gate USA, and other WWN Network brands. She solidified herself within the top of ranks within Women’s Wrestling and has maintained it throughout the rest of her career. She eventually, became one of (TV Series) Lucha Underground’s biggest stars. She has also worked for IMPACT Wrestling, WCPW, and AAA. She recently was a part of AEW, making history as half of the first Winners of the AEW Tag Team Tournament Cup, alongside her partner Diamante. She is one of the most decorated female Athletes within SHINE, and one of the most respected within Women’s Wrestling. She is a 4x SHINE champion, as well as the first and only SHINE Triple Crown holder (SHINE Championship, SHINE Nova Championship, and SHINE Tag Team Championship)
She is known for her wrestling style being well-rounded in all styles, ranging with Lucha Libre, Technical, Striking, Submission, and an MMA background. She has vast experience as a singles competitor, as well as Tag Team, and is also known for her charismatic unique persona.
